Waterstone's list of 30 books that deserve to be rediscovered makes me wonder what's the definition of "rediscover". I wouldn't call Slaughterhouse 5 or Perdido Street Station forgotten books.

I wrote the first part of this in August. Back then all reviews I managed to find were positive, but now a few negative ones have also surfaced. While I can sometimes see their point, I don't agree with them. Yet, I thought they, too, should be mentioned.
